Ranger Station Attendant, Donna Brown
Donna Brown began working at O’Leno State Park in 2004 as a ranger station attendant and toll collector. She has spent many hours greeting park guests, cleaning the group camp cabins and day use area, and whatever other duties she can work on. Born and raised in High Springs, Florida, Donna has known O'Leno her entire life.
Donna is the second generation to work for the Florida Park Service in her family; her father, Ed Brown, spent time working at Ichetucknee Springs State Park. She enjoys greeting and helping visitors, and is always helpful, friendly and courteous. If you’ve ever been to O’Leno, chances are you have been greeted by Donna. She loves to make certain that visitors enjoy their experience.
Her favorite time of year at O’Leno is spring, when the dogwoods, redbuds, wild azaleas and fringe trees are in full bloom and create a canvas of breathtaking beauty. Donna’s experience and knowledge is a huge asset to O’Leno and River Rise State Park, and she takes pride in being thorough and organized. Her knowledge of the local area is a huge benefit and very helpful to visitors. Her dedication to O’Leno State Park makes Donna a valued member of the Florida Park Service.
