Partial Red Trail Closure
Oscar Scherer State Park has temporarily closed a section of the Red Trail until further notice due to American Bald Eagle nesting season, per national protocols and regulations. The north section of the trail is closed from bench 12A to bench 12B. Please do not enter this protected area. Inquire at ranger station for more information.
CAMPGROUND RESTROOM NO. 2 CONSTRUCTION
Campground restroom No. 2 is scheduled to close on January 8, 2024 and is scheduled to be replaced, which will impact the general area surrounding the restroom. Construction is expected to begin in January 2024 and expected to be complete by July 2024. Other facilities will be available during construction. Campsites will be limited during the closure.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Canoe and kayak rentals are not available. Additionally, rentals are not available for the guided paddle on Wednesdays.

The trail is closed from bench 14 to the eagle viewing station. Please do not enter this protected area. Inquire at ranger station for more information.

With 15 miles of trails, this park provides solitude, beauty, challenge and a healthy adventure for everyone. Oscar Sherer is a popular stopover for bicyclists and walkers on the Legacy Trail, making this an important place for the surrounding community and a worthwhile stop for travelers.
