Effective July 7, 2023: The boardwalk near the large mound at Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park is closed for repair.

Welcome to Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park

Visitors to this archaeological site will see Florida's tallest Native American ceremonial mound, built between 1,100 and 1,800 years ago.  


Pay Online, Single-Use Day Pass

The park offers picnicking, birding and hiking. The pavilion has interpretive displays and a bronze sculpture of the mound. 

An interpretive trail starts at the base of the ceremonial mound and winds past several smaller mounds.

The pavilion picnic area and platform viewing area for the mound are wheelchair-accessible. Guided tours are available upon request.

Native American Ceremonial Mound

Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park preserves an archaeological mound complex that includes at least 7 earth mounds. The largest is Florida’s tallest Native American ceremonial mound, which stands at approximately 51 feet tall and 300 feet wide at the base.
