Friend Groups

The Friends of Florida Caverns State Park assists in raising public awareness of the value of protecting and celebrating the park’s significant biological, geologic, cultural features and recreational opportunities. It was these features that resulted in the designation of Florida Caverns as Florida’s seventh state park more than 60 years ago.

Dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island state parks.

The Friends of the Little Manatee River Park, Inc., is comprised of citizen volunteers who care about the park. Our goals are to improve the park and the visitors experience to the highest level possible. Working with park staff, we seek to improve community awareness and use of the park, infrastructure and services all while helping to protect and manage the natural resource for future generations.

As a citizen support organization, the Friends of the Farm work in cooperation with staff of the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings State Park.

Friends of the Withlacoochee State Trail helps to develop, maintain, and promote the Withlacoochee State Trail. Members volunteer their time and labor on projects such as trail maintenance, fundraising, public education about trail-related issues, and building trail amenities.

The group supports the Tomoka Basin State Parks: Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park, Bulow Creek State Park, Dummett Mill Ruins, Addison Blockhouse Historic State Park, Haw Creek Preserve State Park and Tomoka State Park.

It is the mission of the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park (FOTHPSP) to promote community involvement and enhance the park visitor experience at Topsail Hill Preserve and to support the park's daily operations as well as its education and conservation efforts.

Members of Friends of Wakulla Springs State Park learn what’s happening at the park and participate in the protection and improvement of its natural and cultural resources.

The Friends of Weeki Wachee Springs State Park was organized in 2009 by a group of passionate volunteers who wanted to protect and sustain Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.

Our focus is to support the preservation of the Gamble Plantation, a historical landmark, in partnership with Florida State Parks.

Gold Head Associates is a not-for-profit organization that partners with Mike Ross Gold Head Branch State Park. Our goal is to work together with the community and to help with outreach, projects and special events that support Gold Head Branch State Park in Keystone Heights, Florida and the Palatka to Lake Butler State Trail.

The mission of the Hillsborough River State Park Preservation Society is to enhance and perpetuate the Hillsborough River State Park and the Fort Foster State Historic Site.

The Natural Bridge Historical Society was incorporated in 1999 as a citizen support organization to work in cooperation with the Florida Park Service to preserve and enhance the state park.

The Friends Group established in 2007 supports Wes Sikes Peacock Springs, Madison Blue Springs, Lafayette Blue Springs, Troy Springs, and Suwannee River State Parks. Funds raised support boardwalks and other park improvements, scientific research, public education and community outreach about springs and the natural systems which support them.

The Olustee Battlefield Citizen Support Organization is a nonprofit Florida corporation composed of volunteer members. While the CSO works in cooperation with the park officials, it is an independent organization. Membership is open to individuals and organizations.
