This November, get offline and go drop a line!
Discounts on passes mean more outdoor opportunities.
Through Jan. 13, 2024, visitors to Florida State Parks can purchase an annual entrance pass at a 50% discount. These markdowns are courtesy of the Great Outdoors Initiative, a campaign by Governor Ron DeSantis to encourage Floridians to explore their state’s natural resources. In conjunction with this program, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has exempted individuals from needing fishing licenses within Florida State Parks and is also offering discounts on Gold Sportsman hunting and fishing licenses through Jan. 13, 2024.
Consider this a wonderful opportunity to purchase thoughtful holiday gifts for loved ones!
Paddlesports Month
November is Florida Paddlesports Month. Florida’s state parks offer plenty of paddling opportunities, and equipment rentals are available at many parks. The Office of Greenways and Trails has compiled a list of designated paddling trails. What are you waiting for - load up your canoe, kayak or paddleboard and get out on the water!
Celebrating Veterans
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is proud to honor our veterans every day but especially on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, which falls on a Saturday this year. On this day, the Florida Parks Service encourages everyone to gather their loved ones and celebrate our heroes by engaging in family fun at Florida State Parks.
