The Dade Battlefield Society is dedicated to promoting public awareness of Dade Battlefield Historic State Park and its significance through living history events, nature programs, social functions, educational and recreational activities, festivals, and the highly authentic annual reenactment of Dade’s Battle of 1835, held the first full weekend in January every year.
The society supports the park through various fundraising efforts throughout the year and has purchased mowers and other equipment for the park with donated funds.
Its members and officers come from all walks of life, but they share a common goal - a desire to give back to the community and support the park they have come to love.
